Pranayam

Pranayama is a practice of controlled breathing techniques that originated in ancient yoga traditions. The term “Pranayama” comes from Sanskrit, where “Prana” means life force or energy, and “Yama” means control. This practice involves regulating the breath to improve physical and mental well-being.

  • Bhramari (Bee Breath): Reduces stress and anxiety by producing a humming sound during exhalation, which calms the mind.
  • Sheetali (Cooling Breath): Cools the body and mind, reduces stress, and helps with digestion by inhaling through a rolled tongue or pursed lips.
  • Bhastrika (Bellows Breath): Boosts energy levels and clears the mind with forceful inhalations and exhalations.

How to Practice Pranayama
